This was an excellent trip that we went on with Captain Lamar. It was a windy day, so we stayed inshore and fished the reef. We caught plenty of fish to take back to the condo and feed 15 people. Captain Lamar is very knowledgeable and knows how to catch fish. His boat is in very good condition and comfortable for our group of 6. I fish saltwater often back in Texas and have fished with many different guides. Captain Lamar is definitely at the top!

Lamar and Victor were fantastic. They were patient with our inexperienced fishing skills, and we managed to catch several fish. Lamar was quick to respond to all my questions before the trip. I’d definitely recommend them!

Captain Lamar and deckhand Victor were excellent guides for our group’s first offshore fishing trip and our second day snorkeling at Stingray City. They were patient and kind with our teenagers throughout the trip. We caught some giant tuna that we’ve been enjoying since. Staying at a private house near Rum Point, we appreciated that Lamar even picked us up at our dock. The boat was new and well-maintained, equipped with top-quality tackle. Lamar and Victor put in a lot of effort to make sure our day was memorable, and they did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great fishing experience in the Cayman Islands.

We can’t say enough good things about Captain Lamar and his crew. Lamar met us right at the dock, and we left on time. He was very knowledgeable throughout the trip. We booked a half-day trip, which was just the right amount of time on the water. The boat looked brand new, having been recently refurbished. Lamar, along with Victor and Donald, had lines in the water within 15 minutes of leaving. They knew exactly where to find the fish. While we didn’t catch the tuna or mahi we hoped for, the day on the water was one of the highlights of our trip. Lamar even kept us out longer than planned to make sure we had a great experience. On the way back, Donald jumped in with a spear and caught a huge lobster! We hope to return to Grand Cayman, and if we do, we’ll definitely book with Jackson again.

Our family group of 9 had a great time out on the water! Everyone got a chance to fish, and despite the windy weather, we brought back fish, lobster, and conch for dinner. Our guide was knowledgeable and patient, answering all our questions along the way. It was a fun, memorable experience we’ll be talking about for a long time.

I highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Lamar Jackson. He offers the kind of attention you want when you book a charter. We took a 6-hour deep sea trip between Christmas and New Year’s and had a great time, even though the bite was slow. Lamar was attentive from weeks before the trip, answering my questions quickly through the Fishing Booker app. On the day of the trip, the boat was ready early, and we left the dock ahead of schedule. He had two mates to assist our group of five. We started by trolling and caught a mid-sized barracuda. Once we reached the yellowfin tuna grounds, we marked plenty of fish and spent several hours drifting the spot. Despite their best efforts, we couldn’t get the bigger tuna to bite, but we did catch some smaller blackfin and skipjack tuna while trolling. We stayed out closer to eight hours, trying everything to make something happen. It was a tough day for everyone, but Lamar wasn’t done—he promised to bring us some fresh fish if his next charter had extras. Sure enough, he delivered a bag of fresh yellowfin and wahoo to our condo the next day to feed eight people. Book with Lamar—he’ll make sure you have a great experience.
